Our journey began in 1913 when John Wasilewski opened a small market in New Castle, Pennsylvania.   Wasilewski Market was a small neighborhood shop that made authentic Polska Kielbasa, Kabanossy, Smoked Sausage and hams. For a century, customers traveled to Wasilewski Market throughout the year and waited in line to buy his heritage Polska Kielbasa and Smoked Sausage.

The market was a destination until it closed in 2000. Olde Recipe Foods, Inc. acquired the business and kept the brand alive by introducing the heritage product line to new customers through traditional grocery store and wholesale distribution. 

Today, Olde Recipe Foods, still uses Wasilewski's time‑honored recipes, quality cuts of meat, and the slow, fruitwood smoking process to deliver a rich, old‑world flavor customers have loved for generations.  Our thoughtful process ensures every bite has the rich, bold flavor you would expect from a true heritage brand.
