It started in 1913 when John Wasilewski began selling authentic, artisan, smoked Polska Kielbasa, Kabanossy, hams, specialty luncheon meats, hot dogs and other items from a small neighborhood store in the Sheep Hill section of New Castle, Pennsylvania.  The store quickly became known for the quality of its signature Smoked Polska Kielbasa product and became a popular destination for generations of customers until Wasilewski Market closed its doors in 2006.

In 2000 Rod Firmi and Dave Dugan created Olde Recipe Foods, Inc., to introduce the Wasilewski® brand and its signature Smoked Polska Kielbasa product line to an emerging customer base in grocery and wholesale distribution.  

 

Today, Olde Recipe Foods, Inc., is committed to producing the highest quality products, using the original recipes perfected by the Wasilewski family more than 100 years ago.  We’re also working hard to create a new line of authentic products using the best quality meat, real spices, and a minimal ingredients’ list,  worthy of the Wasilewski® brand.
